School and more

Life in Armenia is going good. I finished my report on Benjamin Franklin. We have 14 more lessons in home schooling. In Arithmetic, we are dividing decimals and annexing zeros.

On May day we were in a car accident. No injuries.

Rocky is shedding his fur. We got a thing to go around his chest instead of his neck. The neighborhood guard dog,Rex, and Rocky don't get along. Rex has chased me once, and Mom said he chased them and got into a fight; but Rex isn't always mean. Rocky makes weird noises when we play fetch.

Life in Armenia

I'm back to writing after a long time. A weekday for me begins almost as soon as I wake up;I start school. Usually at 10:00 a.m. I take our dog for a walk. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I take basketball lessons. I know some of my teammates names;Artvazt,Artsum,Narek, and Tom(he speaks English).

(-in this picture is Narek, Artvatz, me, and Tom.)

Also the workers here extended our front porch.(Rocky is on the back porch.) In school I started health on Friday. I'm also starting tomorrow the final draft on a report on Benjamin Franklin. In history we are studing Western Europe. We have studied Spain,Portugal,Italy, and started France today. In arithmetic, we started geometry today. 36 more lessons left of 5th grade! Life in Armenia is fun.

Christmas and more

This Christmas I got candy, a calculator, a tiger, a dog to put on a backpack, a lightsaber ( thanks Uncle Scott), a oceanography encyclopedia for kids, and a new shirt. On New Years Eve we stayed up until 12:00. At midnight fireworks went off like crazy.(sometimes fireworks just go off at night.) In Armenia, Christmas is January 6. So we went to Hrazdan to be with Shushaun's family for Armenian Christmas. Also yesterday Rocky got away; but we got him after chasing him for a while. Oh Rocky jon.

Yerevan, Armenia

In Yerevan, there are about 1,107,800 people. It is about 87 sq. miles. There are a lot of tall apartments. There are parks and also a gorge. Where we live, you can see Mt. Ararat, which is 16,804 ft. tall. But it is actually in Turkey, and it is the landing place of Noah's ark. There is a Mother Armenia statue, left and right a little like the Statue of Liberty. It has been very foggy lately . Yesterday we could hardly see the Puccini's house down the street.

First Post

Hi, my name is Benjamin James Crawford. I am 10 years old. My birthday is March 31. We live in Yerevan, Armenia at Vanahoved. We have a dog named Rocky.

We've been watching Cosby Shows here. I think that's 1 thing I'll remember about Armenia.

We set up our Christmas tree yesterday. Our Christmas Tree star is silver. We have watched 'A Muppet Christmas"and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"about 3 times each already.

Homeschooling is going well. I've been going to basketball, but all the school buildings closed because of the flu.

We went to Queen Burger. There is no Burger King or McDonalds here.
